Infant and Child Health Care Attention Program

Goal: Provide awareness for the local community about infant and childcare.

Overview: Improving the well-being of infants and children is an important public health goal. Their well-being determines the health of next generation and can help predict future public health challenges for families, communities, and the health care system. The objective of this program is to give attention to a wide range of health conditions and the quality of life of infants, children, and families.

Determinants of Infant and Child Health:

Environmental and social factors, such as access to health care and early intervention services, educational and economic opportunities, social support, and the availability of resources to meet the daily needs influence health behaviors and health status.

Mothers will be given lectures about the essential information about infant and child health, mainly the control and prevention of health problems.

Identifying the need

Improvement in newborn and child survival is among the most significant achievement in global health during the 21st century.

Define the scope of the work

Lectures will be given including the problems that affect infant and child health.

• The importance of immunization

• Cleaning, Sanitation, and Disinfecting

• Newborn Care

• Nutrition

• Development

• Child Abuse and Neglect

• Choking and Suffocation
