On Wednesday, June 19th, the open house “More Than Transit” was held at City Hall Square to receive the feedback and suggestions of 2000 Windsor residents about the transit service in Windsor.
Pat Delmore, Transit Windsor executive, says that they are studying the possibility of making a few route changes. “We’re looking at potentially going from 13 routes to 26 routes, it’s a huge expansion, …. We are looking at almost doubling the hours of service we provide in the community. Of course, this a big, plan and it will take 8 to 10 years to implement.” – says Delmore.
The goal of this step is to make the transit service more efficient by reducing the travel time and allowing the residents to reach their destination quickly. Residents can still give feedback up until July 12th. The final plan will be presented this fall.”
