The government of Ontario, headed by Premier Doug Ford, had allowed Windsor-Essex County (with the exception of Leamington and Kingsville) to move to Stage 2 starting Thursday, June 25th. The following is expected to take place in Stage2
1. Social gathering will be expanded to 10 people. However, people must be at least two meters away from each other
2. Places of worship will gradually open with the condition that the attendance does not exceed 30 percent of the building’s capacity, taking social distancing into account
3. Childcare centers will gradually open, with extensive public health measures
4. Gradually and safely restoring public transit
5. Personal care services are allowed to open giving that their staff follow the proper safety protocols. Personal care services include barber shops, beauty salons, tattoo studios, tanning salons, piercing centers, etc.
Facial hair grooming centers, steam rooms, and saunas are NOT allowed to open yet
6. Personal services, such as wedding planning and outside gyms are restored
7. Restaurants and bars are open for dining giving that it takes place in outdoor areas
8. Shopping malls and centers can fully open, taking the physical distancing and safety measures into account
9. Photography, film, and TV production services can reopen
10. Libraries and community centers can reopen with limited on-site services
11. Most outdoor activities are allowed to reopen
